Design Challenge 2

Challenge Response

My own research focuses on applying animation techniques to explain
or explore scientific processes. As a by product of this research I
have found that the inclusion of data that is regarded as 'real' or
first generation in the form of data generated  by photographic, film
or digital techniques is useful to include as a guide for both
viewer and researcher. As well as opening up other avenues of
investigation and linking existing theories this provides a quick
route of understanding of seemingly complicated visual explanation of
scientific function or theory. It may provide a useful design tool
when considering the questions posed in design challenge two, the
visualization and stimulation of stem cells. In particular the
inclusion of this kind of visual data could prove to be the missing
link of understanding and appreciation of varying techniques for both
the lay person and experimenter alike.
